Joan Magruder -- President
Joan Magruder was named president in May 2006. She previously directed strategic planning, physician services and market research efforts for BJC HealthCare and its affiliated hospitals. Her responsibilities included oversight for the financial, strategic and operational performance of the BJC Medical Group, BJC Home Care Services, BJC Behavioral Health and BJC Corporate Health Services. Prior to joining BJC, Magruder was the administrator of the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
She received her MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and was recognized by the Kaiser Fellowship for outstanding contributions to healthcare. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College, New York.
John Krettek, MD, PhD -- Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer
John Krettek, MD, has served as vice president of Medical Affairs since 1996. He became chief medical officer in 2004.
A board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Krettek earned his MD and PhD from Washington University School of Medicine. He completed two years of surgical post-graduate training and five years of neurological surgery at the University of California, Los Angles Center for the Health Sciences. He spent two years in academic medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. Upon returning to St. Louis in 1985, he was in the private practice of neurology until he assumed his current position in 2004. He was a member of the BJC HealthCare Board of Directors from 1996 through 2004.
Douglas Black -- Vice President of Program and Campus Development
Doug Black was named vice president of program and campus development in March 2006. He has responsibility for key service lines and implementation of the hospital's strategic campus plan. He previously served as the hospital's director of oncology and digestive disease services. Prior to joining Missouri Baptist, he was director of the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Black received his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and his bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Rhonda Brandon -- Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Development
Rhonda Brandon joined Missouri Baptist in July 2006. She previously served as vice president of Human Resources for the Colonial Pipeline Company in Alpharetta, Georgia. Prior to that, she held human resources positions at Nike, Hughes Network Systems and IBM.
Brandon received her master’s degree in organizational development from American University, Washington, D.C. and her bachelor’s degree from Hampton University, Virginia.
Tim Mislan -- Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive
Tim Mislan joined Missouri Baptist Medical Center in March 2007. He previously served as vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nurse executive at Alton Memorial Hospital where he directed nursing care, pharmacy operations, case management, professional education, clinical information systems, regulatory compliance and process improvement. Prior to that, he served as clinical director of Patient Care Services at Christian Hospital.
He holds a master’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University.
Tony Noronha -- Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Tony Noronha joined Missouri Baptist Medical Center in March 2006. He previously served as chief financial officer for two health care systems and five different hospitals in California and the Midwest. His last position was at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Missouri. As chief financial officer, Noronha maximizes the Hospital’s assets to improve the health of the community.
Noronha holds a bachelor’s degree in business with an accounting concentration from San Francisco State University.
Debra Victor -- Vice President, Missouri Baptist Healthcare Foundation
Debra Victor joined the Hospital in January 1997. She works with donors from across the community to raise funds that support the hospital’s mission. She also oversees the hospital volunteers who provide a variety of important services.
Before joining Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Victor was director of Development for Major Gifts at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She received her bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana.
