- Spinal surgery
- Total joint replacement
- Hand surgery
- Upper extremity surgery

- Emergency services
The team also includes rheumatologists, plastic surgeons, physicians who specialize in pain management, and specially trained nurses, therapists and support staff.
In addition to rehabilitation, the professionals who work in Orthopedics and Spine services offer patients and their families education sessions and review various treatment options. The team relies on advanced technologies, such as the positive emission tomography (PET) scanner, the spiral computed tomography (CT) scanner and the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, to help diagnose diseases and develop treatment programs without surgery.
Prevention
The Orthopedics and Spine services services at Missouri Baptist offer a complete range of programs to decrease the incidence and severity of orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
Intervention
Upon diagnosis, our physicians and staff work with patients and their families to determine the best treatment plan. In many cases, exceptional results can be achieved without surgery using drug therapies, physical therapy and rehabilitation. However, for conditions that require surgery, we are able to achieve successful results with the latest techniques and technologies.
Rehabilitation
Our goal is to return each patient to a maximum level of physical activity. We offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities within the hospital and -- as part of BJC HealthCare -- patients have access to BJC home health services for follow-up physical therapy.
