Stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, vestibular disorders, and other gait and balance disorders can be sudden and life-altering experiences. Our skilled physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists develop a comprehensive neurological treatment program to increase function and improve daily life.
Neurological injuries impact multiple areas of a person’s life, but the impact of neurological conditions often extends to the lives of family members and caregivers. Our comprehensive neurological treatment program examines the needs of the client and family to provide a holistic treatment plan, and promote maximum function and independence for daily activities.
The availability of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy in one clinic reduces the stress of multiple office visits and allows our team to work together in developing a treatment plan specific to your needs. The neurological program includes treatments for:
- Activities of daily living
- Gait and balance
- Muscle coordination
- Muscle weakness
- Speech and swallowing

My experience with physical therapy at MoBap was great! After my stroke I was nervous and scared that I wouldn’t come out the same as I was before.
My entire right side was paralyzed, I had no sensation, and my movements were very uncoordinated. But after having physical therapy I honestly feel better than I did before the stroke! I’m so much stronger! I’ve always been healthy so I’ve never needed therapy before now.
My experience was so wonderful I know that if I ever did need therapy again, I wouldn’t hesitate, I would come right back to Missouri Baptist. My wife and children are so happy because I’m back to my old self. And I know my boss is happy because initially they thought my recovery would take three months but with the help of physical therapy I was back to work in three-and-a-half weeks!
