The ‘News’ on the Flu

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s message about the flu is simple: Don’t get it. Don’t spread it. Get vaccinated. Flu (or influenza) will knock even healthy, young individuals off their feet for five to seven days. And, it can take a full month to truly feel back to normal. It’s a serious respiratory illness, characterized by high fever, severe headache, dry painful cough, aching, weakness — all of which can come on suddenly.
