Pollens, Dust Mites and More.

Date: Jul 21, 2014

Pollens, Dust Mites and More.

Sunitha Sequeira, MD, talks about controlling your seasonal allergies.

Patients with congested nasal passages often assume they have a sinus infection or 'sinusitis." Inflamed nasal passages actually can be caused by allergies or viral colds. Physicians, therefore, generally limit the definition of sinusitis to bacterial infection of the sinuses.
There is a one-in-three possibility of suffering from hearing loss.  If you are fortunate enough not to, most likely you know someone who does.  In the United States, experts estimate that approximately 30% of the population suffers from hearing impairment.  For those individuals over 65, nearly 40% have hearing loss.  Thus, the magnitude of the problem cannot be overstated.

Perfect Sides to Any Summer Dish

Perfect Sides to Any Summer Dish

Kale is all the rage! Think outside the salad bowl and roast a batch of kale as “chips” – perfect to serve in place of traditional potato chips.  Because these kale “chips” are baked instead of fried, you’ll save calories and fat grams – plus dish up a dose of antioxidants key to your good health!

Carrot “chips” add a burst of bright color and nearly “sweet” flavor to snack time or as a side to your luncheon sandwich! Choose extra-large carrots for the simplest way to shave into strips.

Open Face Caprese Sandwich

Open Face Caprese Sandwich

Caprese salad is a summertime favorite. This time we’re serving it up as a sandwich, and roasting the tomatoes into a delicious salsa! Roasting veggies caramelizes their natural sugars for an extra layer of flavor. Don’t forget to make extras – the salsa makes a great topping for pizza made on the grill.
