Missouri Baptist Embarks on Major Campus Building Project
As part of a long-range campus plan, Missouri Baptist Medical Center will add a six-story, 227,000-square-foot West Pavilion patient tower to its Town & Country campus. The lower level and first floor of the West Pavilion will house operating rooms and other procedure space and the top four floors will be devoted to 96 private, state-of-the-art patient rooms.
This project is designed to make access to our services better for patients and providers alike.
West Pavilion: a 6-story, 216,000-square foot tower that will house:
- the hospital’s new main entrance lobby;

- four floors of state-of-the-art private patient rooms for surgical patients (32 patient rooms/floor);
- a large new outpatient surgery center on the second floor that connects to the hospital’s current suite of ORs;
- four new ORs bringing the hospital’s total to 25, and
- space for a future outpatient imaging center.
The West Pavilion is scheduled to open at the end of 2013.
Three-story garage: with 360 parking spaces connected by covered walkway to our new West Pavilion Entrance Lobby. Scheduled to open in February 2011.
Clinical Learning Institute: Located on the fourth level of the new garage, this 42,000 square-foot space will house space for clinical education, with classrooms and simulation labs, and community wellness programs. Scheduled to open for classes in January 2012.
Campus Entry Road and South Parking Lots: Our current entry road into the campus will be rerouted to provide a more direct approach and allow closer surface parking for patients. The lot will be beautified with trees and plantings. Scheduled to open by the end of 2011.
South Nature Trails: As part of the project, we will be putting a system of nature trails in the 8-acres of wooded tract of land adjoining the southwest corner of our campus. These trails will connect with other hiking trails in Town & Country for the use and enjoyment of residents. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2013.
