Nearly half of all volunteers say volunteering has improved their physical health. Our volunteers are interesting and enthusiastic individuals.

Annually, our volunteers contribute more than 63,000 hours in more than 33 different service areas.

There are more than 20 husband and wife volunteer teams volunteering both together and in separate areas throughout the hospital!

Those who are asked are four times more likely to help as those who are not asked.

Non-volunteers say that they are more likely to serve as a volunteer if a trusted friend asks them to serve.

The Auxiliary

Created in 1890, the Auxiliary has been an organization dedicated to the support and improvements of Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The Auxiliary has grown into a group of about 350 dedicated men and women and promotes fellowship and camaraderie within the Missouri Baptist community.

The Auxiliary raises funds through fundraisers throughout the year and from the profits of the Ballas Boutique, our hospital's gift shop.

The Auxiliary supports nursing and junior volunteer scholarships. With the help of local church groups, the Auxiliary provides patient comfort programs such as personalized heart-shaped pillows for those having open-heart surgery, comfort pillows for patients having general surgery, hand-knitted caps for newborns, and surgical patient pouches for personal items.

The Auxiliary provides funding to all areas of the hospital to support the purchase of medical equipment and health education programs for the benefit our patients.

Backpacks for OB Sibling Classes
Volunteer Services and Junior Volunteer Scholarships

Point of Sale Registers for Gift Shop
Tomosynthesis Unit

We encourage you to become a member of the Auxiliary. Our Life Membership dues are $175. We also have an annual membership fee which is $15 per year. The renewal drive begins in October and ends by December 31. New members are welcomed throughout the year.

We are always looking for new members to join our Auxiliary. You can become as involved as you wish, or simply be a behind-the-scenes member. Please join today.
