The ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® is the highest credential a healthcare organization can achieve. A Magnet designation indicates to patients and the public that these organizations have met the most stringent, evidence-based standards of nursing excellence in patient care delivery. Missouri Baptist Medical Center was designated as a Magnet organization in 2016 and 2021 by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program, and they are now applying for redesignation.

When Berdie Kirby, 68, needed ongoing monitoring and specialized care for a life-threatening aortic condition, frequent trips from her home in Rolla, Missouri, to St. Louis, a journey of more than two hours, was sometimes challenging. But thanks to Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s Telemedicine Aortic Surveillance Clinic, Berdie was able to receive expert, ongoing care without long-distance travel.  

In 2021, the federal government established funding to develop additional medical residency training opportunities. Recognizing the shortage of primary care physicians (PCPs) in the St. Louis region, BJC HealthCare, in collaboration with WashU Medicine, selected Missouri Baptist Medical Center as the site for a new internal medicine residency program.

The laboratory at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a full-service laboratory providing testing support for both inpatient and outpatient platforms. We are committed to improving the health of the people and communities we serve by providing accurate, timely and quality laboratory test results for more than 2 million tests each.

The laboratory at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).

As part of Missouri Baptist Medical Center's ongoing commitment to provide resources to moms before, during and after birth, we have formed a variety of classes and support groups to help moms recover from childbirth and promote a healthy, happy time with their newborn.

When the need for surgery arose, this close-knit family made the decision to travel to St. Louis for a second opinion and care at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MoBap). However, Matt and Bill never expected to be in the hospital at the same time, much less have heart surgery on the same day.
