In April 2020, The Breast HealthCare Center at Missouri Baptist Medical Center was named a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence by the National Consortium of Breast Centers for the fourth consecutive year. This is the highest certification level given by the NCBC's National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program. The BHCC is one of only two breast centers in Missouri to achieve this recognition.
“The Breast HealthCare Center participated in this voluntary program because we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. This award recognizes the excellence of our multidisciplinary team of physicians, who provide the highest level of breast care for our community while reaching a level of national excellence,” said Sadaf Summer Chaudhry, MD, medical director of the Breast HealthCare Center.
Certification is based on 44 multidisciplinary quality measures comparing performance to an average across the United States. To quality for a Center of Excellence, a center must submit data for at least 90% of the measures and perform in the top quartile (top 25%) for at least 90% of those measures.
