When David Coblitz brought his friend to MoBap’s Wound Healing Center for treatment, he likely didn’t realize he was stepping into his next project. “This evidence-based design art, or healing art, has been shown to work in medical environments to reduce stress for patients and staff,” David says.

The Gift of Giving Back

For several years, neighbors and best friends Jean and Joyce have volunteered at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MoBap) gift shop. “We’ve met amazing people. Sometimes, it’s a grandparent who is over the moon about a new baby or someone who is going home after an extended stay. Other times, it might be a family member whose loved one is struggling,” Joyce says.
