Proud to be Magnet® Designated

ANCC Magnet Recognized logoMissouri Baptist Medical Center is recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Magnet-recognized organization. Magnet designation is the highest and most prestigious credential a health care organization can achieve for nursing excellence and quality patient care.  Missouri Baptist is the only Magnet-designated hospital in St. Louis County.

Health care organizations must reapply for Magnet designation every four years.  The redesignation process is even more strenuous than the initial designation.  Organizations must demonstrate sustained outcomes that outperform national benchmarks as well as continued support and commitment to nursing excellence.  Magnet recognition is held by only nine percent of U.S. hospitals. Thirty percent of hospitals reapplying for Magnet are not approved.

On April 16, 2021, Missouri Baptist was named a Magnet-designated hospital for the second time, demonstrating a continued commitment to professional nursing practice and exceptional patient care.
