Ann Abad

Ann Abad was named president in December 2022 after serving as president of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital since 2019, where she led the team’s significant growth of diagnostic and short-stay surgical and medical care. Previously, she served as the vice president of operations for Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West Hospital, where she led the operational and strategic development for the hospitals for eight years.

Abad joined BJC in 2005, first as a strategic planning manager with BJC Medical Group, then as director, and eventually vice president, of strategic planning for BJC HealthCare. As the vice president of strategic planning, she developed growth and capital projections for BJC’s 10-year financial model and led hospital and system-wide planning.

She earned her MBA from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Purdue University.

Nitin Anand, MD, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Nitin Anand is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and neurocritical care. He earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, his medical degree from Vanderbilt School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Washington University School of Medicine. He began his career with BJC as an instructor and hospitalist with Washington University School of Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital before joining MoBap in 2008 as an intensivist. During the pandemic, Dr. Anand served as the co-chair of the ICUs and critical care council on the COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force.

Patti Crimmins Reda

Patti Crimmins Reda, RN, joined Missouri Baptist as the Chief Nursing Officer in 2019. She began her career with BJC Healthcare in 1982 as a nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In 2003, Patti worked to secure Magnet® designation for Barnes Jewish, making it the first adult hospital in Missouri to achieve this high recognition for excellent nursing practice. Missouri Baptist followed, earning this same recognition in 2016. Patti pushes Missouri Baptist to continue a high level of nursing care, working to earn Magnet® redesignation every four years.

Before coming to Missouri Baptist, Patti served as the Executive Director of Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Heart & Vascular Center and the TeleICU program, which monitors over 200 critical care beds throughout BJC HealthCare. She maintains leadership over TeleICU for BJC while serving as the CNO of Missouri Baptist.
