Heart Valve Center: Your Heart in Good Hands

If you have been diagnosed with a heart valve problem, you are not alone.

At the Valve Center at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, we offer treatment for most valve diseases- including those who may have been deemed inoperable just a couple of years ago. Valve disease can develop before birth or can be acquired sometime during one’s lifetime. Often its cause is unknown.

MoBap uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating heart valve disease. Because our specialists are trained specifically in valve disease, they developed an in depth knowledge of our patients disease processes, allowing them to focus not only on your condition, but on you.

In 2012, we became one of the few heart centers in the nation approved to perform the transcatheter aortic valve replacement, a minimally invasive procedure used to cure severe aortic stenosis in high-risk or inoperable patients.

Missouri Baptist is the only cardiac surgery program in the state of Missouri to receive the highest 3-star rating for both aortic valve replacement (AVR) and coronary bypass (CABG) surgeries for 2012.

Our heart specialists perform more valve surgeries (all heart valves) than most hospitals in the country, and our clinical outcomes are some of the best in the nation. Simply put, we help give people their lives back.
