Champions of Enhanced Patient Recovery

Each year, Champions for Care (CFC) make a collective major gift to MoBap through designated gifts to a fundraising project focused on improving care for our patients. A “Champion” is a donor who directs a gift of $500 or more to this special project.

In 2023, Champions for Care are coming together for the purchase of new patient recliners that are part of the patient’s recovery. These recliners will be designated for the orthopedic department.

Champions of Enhanced Patient RecoveryThese new recovery recliners will provide upgrades and advantages for both patients, family members, physicians, and nurses. The recovery recliner locks in any position, including completely flat, to be able to move a patient from their bed to the recliner. The recovery recliner has a safety mechanism that does not allow it to tip when weight is put on the head or footrests and the wheels can be placed in 2-wheel drive mode, or 4 wheels can move freely to help transport patients.

The Foundation and CFC donors have had a long and proud history of supporting a spectrum of healthcare needs. Since 2016, Champions for Care have provided much needed equipment, education, access to excellent health care and life saving screenings.
