If your doctor suspects that you may have an arrhythmia, or an irregular heartbeat, you are not alone. More than five million people in the U.S. currently suffer from abnormal heart rhythms.
What is an arrhythmia?
An arrhythmia is an irregular heartbeat. Arrhythmias come in many forms -- heartbeats that are too fast, too slow or too irregular. Sometimes an arrhythmia may feel like a flutter or even a quiver. Learn more about the causes and symptoms of arrhythmia.
At the Arrhythmia Center at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, we want to help you understand everything there is to know about arrhythmias, especially finding the right treatment just for you. Our goal is to keep you and your heart healthy.

Arrhythmia Center Testing and Treatment
Our Arrhythmia Center is unique. The center has been created to offer a comprehensive approach, which means we offer every type of heart diagnostic testing and arrhythmia treatment, including a robotic system that can safely treat and sometimes cure types of arrhythmias that other centers cannot. Missouri Baptist is the only area hospital to offer the latest Stereotaxis Robotic Ablation system, called EPOCH. This system enables our electrophysiologists to navigate the heart with more accuracy and speed than non-robotic ablation equipment.
Electrophysiology Team
Our specialists are highly trained and hospital-based, which means our doctors are here every day for you and your doctor. It’s also good to know that our doctors, cardiac electrophysiologists, often work with other heart doctors – cardiologists, heart surgeons and interventional cardiologists -- to care for every type of cardiac condition.
