Patient Story

I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in December 2005 shortly after I was married. Initially I was able to manage my symptoms fairly well but after the birth of my son I experienced an exacerbation and began my therapy at MoBap.

They helped get me back on track, built up my strength and my confidence again. I went off my meds to get pregnant and again my condition progressed sending me back to therapy.

I have never dreaded coming to therapy. I have learned so many new skills. I feel empowered to improve and learn new things so I can be more functional. The therapists have a wealth of information and they communicate that information clearly to the patient and to other therapists. Even when I saw another therapist they knew all about me and were able to offer a new perspective to my treatment. Now that I am pregnant again, I did have fears about my mobility and holding the baby safely. After completing my therapy at MoBap I am much less apprehensive. I feel I have the skills, strength, and knowledge of my limitations to have the confidence to care for my child.
