The ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® is the highest credential a healthcare organization can achieve. A Magnet designation indicates to patients and the public that these organizations have met the most stringent, evidence-based standards of nursing excellence in patient care delivery. Missouri Baptist Medical Center was designated as a Magnet organization in 2016 and 2021 by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program, and they are now applying for redesignation.

In 2021, the federal government established funding to develop additional medical residency training opportunities. Recognizing the shortage of primary care physicians (PCPs) in the St. Louis region, BJC HealthCare, in collaboration with WashU Medicine, selected Missouri Baptist Medical Center as the site for a new internal medicine residency program.

Beginning May 21, Missouri Baptist Medical Center will be transitioning inpatient rehabilitation services to the new The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis–West County, an affiliation of BJC HealthCare and Encompass Health.
