As a patient you are entitled to certain benefits and protections under law. We affirm and support the following patient rights.
As a patient, you have the following rights:
Your health depends not just on your hospital care, but in the long term, on the decisions you make in your daily life and the effect of those lifestyle decisions on your personal health.
It is the policy of Missouri Baptist Medical Center that their clients are informed of their rights and given the opportunity to present their concerns.
The primary contact for patients is the Patient Advocate (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday at 314-996-4004.) We also offer our patients and families a phone number, available 24-hours a day, 314-568-6682, to voice a concern. Either a Patient Advocate or Representative will respond within 30 minutes. If the problem cannot be resolved promptly, the complainant will receive continuous feedback on the progress of its resolution.
The patient may lodge a grievance with the State agency directly, regardless of whether he/she has first used the hospital’s grievance process.
