John Antes, President
John Antes was named president of Missouri Baptist Medical Center in March 2013. Consistently recognized among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for clinical quality, Missouri Baptist is rated among top Missouri hospitals for cardiac surgery and cardiac care and is designated by the National Cancer Institute as one of 63 Community Clinical Oncology programs in the nation.
Antes joined BJC in 2005 and became president of BJC's hospitals in St. Charles County, Missouri – Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West HealthCare Center -- serving one of the fastest-growing communities in the St. Louis metropolitan region. Previously, he served with MedCath Incorporated as president and CEO of the Heart Hospital of Milwaukee.
Antes holds a master's degree in health administration from Washington University. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at Memphis State University.
Mitchell Botney, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Mitchell Botney has been in private practice at Missouri Baptist since 1999. He is board-certified in internal and pulmonary medicine. He earned his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed his internship and residency at Jewish Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine and held clinical and research fellowships in respiratory and critical care at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Botney taught at Washington University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, was involved in pulmonary research and is the author of 35 journal articles.
Amy DeSart, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Amy DeSart joined Missouri Baptist in 2003. Prior to that, Amy served as Vice President and CFO of Cigna HealthCare of St. Louis, as well as Director and Interim General Manager for Cigna Midwest Region. Amy spent six years at St. Louis Children's Hospital after beginning her career in public accounting. Amy graduated from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville with a bachelor's of science in Accounting. She also serves as the Vice President of Finance for Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital and Parkland Health Center.
Cyndy Donato, Vice President of Human Resources, Marketing & Communications and Performance Improvement
Cyndy Donato joined Missouri Baptist in 2016. She previously served in leadership roles in a variety of organizations and industries, including Novus International, Express Scripts, Sara Lee, and Monsanto. Cyndy completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, received a Master of Science in International Business from Saint Louis University and Doctorate of Management from Webster University. Her community involvement includes serving on the Boards for the Independence Center, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, and Saint Louis University's John Cook School of Business.
Mike Kelly, Vice President of Operations
Mike comes to MoBap with nearly 25 years of working with and leading people at all levels of an organization. He has served BJC HealthCare since 2008 as a vice president within Information Services responsible for the information technology needs and support of our Community Hospitals and BJC Medical Group. Prior to joining BJC HealthCare, Mike served University Hospitals (UH) as their Associate and Interim Chief Information Officer.
Patti Crimmins Reda, RN
Patti Crimmins Reda, RN, joined Missouri Baptist as the Chief Nursing Officer in 2019. She began her career with BJC Healthcare in 1982 as a nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. In 2003, Patti worked to secure Magnet® designation for Barnes Jewish, making it the first adult hospital in Missouri to achieve this high recognition for excellent nursing practice. Missouri Baptist followed, earning this same recognition in 2016. Patti pushes Missouri Baptist to continue a high level of nursing care, working to earn Magnet® redesignation every four years.
Before coming to Missouri Baptist, Patti served as the Executive Director of Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Heart & Vascular Center and the TeleICU program, which monitors over 200 critical care beds throughout BJC HealthCare. She maintains leadership over TeleICU for BJC while serving as the CNO of Missouri Baptist.
Debra Victor, Vice President, Missouri Baptist Healthcare Foundation
Debra Victor joined the Hospital in January 1997. She works with donors from across the community to raise funds that support the hospital's mission. She also oversees the hospital volunteers who provide a variety of important services. Before joining Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Victor was director of Development for Major Gifts at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She received her bachelor's degree from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana.
