Missouri Baptist Medical Center offers a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation program individually tailored for patients who require acute therapy interventions. Led by Medical Director, Lizette Alverez, MD, our inter-disciplinary team of physiatrists; licensed physical, occupational, speech, and music therapists; registered and licensed-professional nurses; registered dietitians; and licensed clinical social workers care for patients throughout the hospital and in our 20-bed inpatient rehab facility.
If illness or injury requires you to come to Missouri Baptist, our rehabilitation team of more than 100 therapists, may work with you one-on-one at your bedside or in rehab gyms located on your floor. Each therapist has received specialized training related to the medical diagnoses seen on the floors they work on. Collaboration between therapy, nursing, case coordination, and your physician ensures that your current needs and discharge needs are being met throughout your stay.
Some medical issues or surgeries require intensive rehabilitation after a hospital stay in order to maximize independence and safety prior to returning home.
The rehab team at MoBap offers the most intense, comprehensive, and individualized plan, helping you achieve goals faster. Patients participate in at least 3 hours of therapy five days a week. MoBap's Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF), offers intimate and unique setting with a boutique feel for inpatient recovery. Our dedicated team of therapists will guide you along the way to not only help you work towards your goals, but also offer consistency in a safe and comfortable environment.
